ElderForte is an all-herbal formulation combining 5 key herbs, each included due to its well-established tradition of use in Western herbal medicine. Echinacea purpurea and Eupatorium perfoliatum (Boneset) are used in traditional Western herbal medicine to support the healthy function of the immune system. These two herbs along with Sambuccus nigra (Elderberry) are also traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to reduce and relieve the symptoms of common colds and flu. Calendula officinalis and the traditional cough suppressant herb Inula helenium are included based on their traditional use as antipyretics (for the relief of mild fever).
